Smile Shortcrust Pastry

It is a pastry that here in the U.K.is made with the measurements of half fat to flour.

8oz. flour
4oz. margarine
Pinch of Salt

Mix all ingredients until they resemble breadcrumbs, then add water until a soft dough is formed.
Roll out to shape required on a floured board.

If a richer pastry is required use butter instead of margarine.

Cool

Thanks! Sounds most like a pie crust here in the colonies!
