Here's one for you meat eaters.Thought I would give the sweet things a rest for now.

Serves Four

4 Fillet Steaks
2oz. Butter
2 Tablespoons Cream
2 Tablespoons Whisky
3oz. Cheddar Cheese(red)
Parsley or Watercress

Fry the steaks on both sides in the butter until they are cooked.
Take out of pan and place in serving dish somewhere to keep hot.
Put the cream and whisky into the pan and heat gently.
Pour this over the steaks and garnish with the parsley or watercress.

Enjoy

Talking Lost Cheese !!

OOPS!!!

Jinmich as I dont eat cheese I forgot all about it.

What you do with it is put it on the steaks and then if you wanted to you could put under the grill for a minute or two until browned, before putting on the garnish of parsley or watercress.

Sorry about that. I will have to read through recipes before posting won't I.

Oh, I am so glad that somebody else did ask that! I read the recipe several times, and wondered ...and ? The cheese? Does it have a place here at all? I thought my eyesight was becoming worse at an alarming rate!.

It sounds lovely, though fillet steak is not really in my budget. But, what with steak and cream and cheese and whisky, it certainly sounds impressive.
