Smile Food is Great

Thats a good question to ask any foodaholics like me.

I think that my favourite savoury meal would have to be Mince, tatties, neeps and white puddings(mealies).

As for the sweet things there are too too many to chose from but I will chose a few for you.

Homemade Trifle with lots of Harveys in it.

Homemade Rice Pudding with a dollop of Jam.

Pavlova

and to be seasonal Christmas Cake.

Can't agree with you about Pasta though don't like it at all.

Elly-may

Just spent the afternoon baking cakes.

It'd have to be fettucine with mushroom, bacon, onion sauce - then for sweets - Tiramisu washed down with a glass of Brown Brothers Spatlese Lexia!

One of my all-time favorite meals is a heart attack special: Cheeseburgers with all the trimmings (tomatoes, onions, pickles, lettuce, and then of course the condiments mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard) and french fries or tater tots. Top that off with a large Diet Coke or caffeine-free diet Dr. Pepper, or a medium-sized milkshake, and you've got a meal. Not healthy at all, but yummy as all get out.

Sweets-wise, I'm a big cookie person. Love cookies, including Scottish (NOT American) shortbread. I tried actual Scottish shortbread last Christmas. One of our local grocery stores was selling boxes of shortbread cookies that were made in Scotland, and that spoiled it forever for me, for American shortbread wanna-be's. I like cake, pie, ice cream, and candy, too; however, if it's overly sweet, it just makes me want to gag. But, candy bar-wise, my big weakness is M&M's and Hershey S'mores bars. Pies would have to include Pumpkin, Marionberry (blackberry), and Peach. Cakes with less sugar both in the cake itself as well as the frosting are cool. My favorite ice cream is the Dairy Queen soft-serve twist cone: half vanilla and half chocolate. Nummy!
