Is it English or Italian......make your mind up !!!!

A British tradition, dandelion and burdock is reputed to have been invented in the 13th century.
Dandelion and burdock roots were fermented, producing a naturally fizzy drink.
One, now widely refuted legend stated that it was first created by Italian St Thomas Aquinas, in London.
According to the story, having prayed to God for inspiration one evening, St Thomas walked out into the
countryside and made himself a tonic using the first plants which came to hand.
It has been suggested that without this sustaining drink he would have been unable to formulate his
masterpiece, The Summa Theologiae.
Natural dandelion and burdock is reputed to help cleanse the body of toxins by encouraging the liver
to produce more bile. However, the drink familiar to us today is a far cry from 700 years ago.
Many versions contain neither plant, having been carbonated and produced using artificial sweeteners.
