I tend not to batter my food. It has a tendency to splatter everywhere if I do.

If I'm going to do something battered for a meal out, then I like battered cod for fish 'n chips, dipped in tartar sauce. The best place I've ever had them was when my ex-husband and I lived down on the southern Oregon coast, and it was at a place called Fisherman's Grotto. Yum! Yum!
