CRAP isn't really a meat though, is it? More of a 'by-product' from the animal.

Goat tastes OK (though I can't remember right now exactly what it tastes like! ).
I raised goats until very recently, for meat, milk and skins. Unfortunately they suffer from pretty much the same image as wild rabbit..."ye can only curry the b*ggers" but in truth you can use them any way you can use other lean meats and they`re pretty much delicious, though taste is an individual thing.
Regarding horsemeat, I`d have no trouble eating any were it available here....I tan sheepskins for a living so have a working relationship with slaughterhouses, but the most `exotic` beast I`ve seen in them has been red deer, and those, not farmed commercially (in Orkney) but from a private breeder and unavailable for sale.
I`m a poacher`s daughter. We grew up learning to eat whatever meat was put upon the table, and to be honest, treated with care and imagination in cookery, most beasts are edible and some you wouldn`t think of, quite delicious.
Och, am hungry now!

PS what I mourn nowadays is the demise of good mature mutton from the butchers...all ye can get is lamb!

With the saturation of dairy farms in NZ now , steak is cheaper that lamb
