What is your favorite pie?

MMmmm....pie. Few foods match it in cultural or historical significance. It has been a part of our culinary lives for centuries.

And so I must ask, what is your favorite pie, and why?

I like pecan because it's nutty and sweet. Super-duper-diabetic coma sweet. MMmmmmmm

P.S. this is not a "my pie is better than your pie" thread. There is no wrong answer. If you're a pie snob or pie supremacist find another forum (they have one for everything on these here internets)

But I found it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_pie

And it sounds YUMMY! I've never had mutton though, what does it taste like? in comparison to say...beef? pork? lamb (only had that once)? Buffalo?

Most Scotch pies are made with lamb nowadays. Mutton is much less common and not to the modern taste, although my local butcher does sell it occasionally. I use lamb to make my mutton pies.

Bridies are my favourite.
