What is your favorite pie?
MMmmm....pie. Few foods match it in cultural or historical significance. It has been a part of our culinary lives for centuries.
And so I must ask, what is your favorite pie, and why? I like pecan because it's nutty and sweet. Super-duper-diabetic coma sweet. MMmmmmmm P.S. this is not a "my pie is better than your pie" thread. There is no wrong answer. If you're a pie snob or pie supremacist find another forum (they have one for everything on these here internets)

But I found it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_pie And it sounds YUMMY! I've never had mutton though, what does it taste like? in comparison to say...beef? pork? lamb (only had that once)? Buffalo? |

Most Scotch pies are made with lamb nowadays. Mutton is much less common and not to the modern taste, although my local butcher does sell it occasionally. I use lamb to make my mutton pies.
Bridies are my favourite. |
