Last night, I watched a show called, "The Naked Chef," (it's not what it sounds, he is actually clothed.)I love the Food Channel, and I was really excited to see that Jamie Oliver (host of Naked Chef) was visiting the Scottish Isles. So I stayed up until insane hours of the morning to watch it. It was great. Well, honestly, the food wasn't, but just the fact that he was in Scotland! He first was on a fishing boat and caught his own clams and crawfish type things. I hate seafood though. Then he bought some lamb off a butcher truck. So none of that sounded good to me, (I actually don't really like meat. I'm not a vegeterian, but I don't like the way most meat tastes.) but then he made a chocolate mouse that looked amazing! I just liked the show cos he was in Scotland. He rode his bike around everywhere so you could really see the amazing land scapes of where he was. I'm not exactly sure which of the Isles he was on. The Isle of Skye is one of my favorite parts of Scotland, but I don't think that is where he was. But anyway I thought it was great that he was in Scotland, and I thought you all might find it interesting.

Mar sin leat an-drāsta!

wow! i used to watch Jamies shows on the food network... there were several. I think i loved best learning about quality ingredients, though i think his food bill must be far more expensive than most of us can afford, LOL! And some of his meals are far too rich for me, but i'd LOVE to see him do Scotland.

I remember he opened a restaurant in NYC and was training "at risk" youth to be his kitchen chefs. Anyone here anything more recent on this?

Jamie Oliver's TV series, including the one on 'Fifteen', his restaurant in London where he trains young people who come from 'challenging' (ahem ) backgrounds were originally on TV here in the UK a number of years ago. The first naked chef series is probably at least 5 or 6 years old.
