Polwarth and/or HollyElise, can evaporated milk be substituted for cream in Scottish recipes?

I wouldn't use evaporated milk instead of cream, nothing can compete with it!!

Have a look in this site to see what it says about Carnation Evaporated Milk and a few other items !!

I wonder why you chose to bring up a 2 year old thread instead of starting a new one

I looked in the site you mentioned and have to say that they are not all Scottish recipes but there are
some good UK recipes

PS...don't believe all you read in that site....Tablet is not fudge...one is very sugary and the other smooth

I suspect it's because the poster can publicise the kilt/highland dress site they advertise in their siggie, Babz... But then, I am cynical....
