Kathy V have you ever tried this?

fresh lime juice (two limes squeezed less pips)
some sugar about three tablespoons or to taste
some club soda or bubbly mineral water about one glass 8 ozs.
and spearmint leaves

crushed ice about a half a glass

white rum about one ounce

You rub the spearmint in the glass with fingers on the inside of the glass ofcourse, then squeeze limes, add sugar, then ice, and club soda, then rum and garnish with wedge of lime and spearmint, and then stir well. Drink it and see if you like it. If you like it I will tell you where it is from.

Lots of fun this description of favorite drinks.

I love grape juice. I always have. Too bad I can't drink it anymore.

French vodka

I rencently discovered French vodka, which is made from grapes rather than grain or potatoes. Why it isn't wine or brandy, I don't know, but it's right tasty, espectially served with frozen red seedless grapes! )

PRG, that does sound tasty! I'll have to do that! The first time I ever had rum in a drink was in a Hot Buttered Rum and OMG that is awful! Rum in other things is good, Mai Tai's etc...my hubby likes rum cookies and they aren't bad but that hot buttery gunk..... shudder!

It would be relly nice with the lime and mint. Almost a Mint Julip.

Have you ever tried making a G&T with jonge jenever (Dutch gin)? Very nice indeed!

I've only drunk Geneva Water (gin) in Holland - but I've got to say that Bombay Sapphire is my gin of choice!
