Thank you Polwarth! I will let you know if i can find them.

I once wanted to try a particular wine so much that i found a huge wine store in Chicago that ships! LOL. But that gets a little pricey.

hhahahaha... that's what i want to do in "whiskey country" in Scotland. ...actually... come to think of it... i'm more interested in the sight seeing there. I love a little whiskey in things... like baking and cooking and coffee... but i'm not exactly the "give me three fingers straight-up" type, LOL.

HE
Before you get here you should ensure that you know our whisky has no 'e' - that's the Irish, American, Canadian and Japanese stuff.... ours is whisky!!!

It's one of my husband's favourite pastimes - visiting whisky disilleries - amongst his favourites are Strathisla, Highland Park (Orkney) and Bowmore (Islay).

We also make Whisky in Canada - Glen Breton made in Glenora, Cape Breton. I have visited both the Oban Whisky distillery and Jack Daniels in Tennessee. I completely enjoyed both tours, although I must admit I like Oban better (the whisky, not the distillery). Bowmore is my favourite malt - although I like all of the Islay whiskies -I have a bottle of Laphroig in my cupboard just now.

I am none too fond of the rye whiskey that is so popular here - I prefer the bourbon the Americans make. Neither can compare to the heavenly nectar that comes from Islay.
