Thumbs up

Oh the joys of leaving the dancin at 3 in the morning and heading to the nearest chippy for a kebab. Does anyone out there have a recipe for the lovely, lovely red sauce they used to douse on it? I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

Talking kebabs

If I am not mistaken it is what we call Vietnamese hot sauce...you can get it in most Asian stores it is Chili sauce.
If you like kebabs alot you can make your own with hamburger...or ground lamb...take an onion and chop it, a bit of nutmeg, a crust of bread and a bit of water and blend it into liquidy goop....pour it into your hamburger and work it and work it and work it...flatten it into a pan, sprinkly some sumac on it....you can buy this in any middle eastern shop...it is ground red berries...I heard it was juniper berries that grow in the middle east I could be wrong...but it is delicious on hamburger, put salt and pepper on it....bake till nearly done and then you can put thinly sliced tomatos on top and let it bake till they are done....slice into strips put on pita, add tsadziki sauce, the hot sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and bon appetite'
