mmmm....

it's about that time for me to start making Christmas candies to give as gifts, and this year i'm also making some biscotti to give... everyone gets so many christmas cookies they're often swimming in sweets for a while but biscotti lasts and my brother and dad especially like it with their coffee!

Anyone else making treats to give away?

Scottish Christmas

HollyElise,..While on this Thread (it may have already been mentioned elsewhere), what would a typical Scottish Christmas dinner consist of? We have the traditional turkey or capon with all the "fixins",cranberry sauce, yams, etc. in the U.S., but some of us would like to experiment with a change once in a while. (We have a recipe book, so just naming the dish would probably be fine,..deserts especially). Thanks

This year I'm making pineapple jam for everyone. I had tried some before and thought it was just orgasmic....it's so easy. Tin of crushed pineapple and pectin. VOILA! JAM!

Turkey is traditional in Scotland for Christmas along with tatties & neeps. Sweets might include tablet, toffee, and sticky toffee pudding. For more ideas:
