black pudding

I think the term "black pudding" was invented by sensitive Brits to help them forget about what it is. My grandparents in Tennessee had no such qualms. There it is simply "blood sausage". It isn't made much anymore there. I think it is associated with "hard times",..rather like "chittlin's". The taste is rather bland on its own. The flavoring comes from the condiments.
