Thank you Bobby!

I have been busy too, and my job will get busier til Christmas too, plus i'm starting up my knitting classes again and doing some other new things.

I've got cooking on my mind, though! I did a lovely mocha cheesecake for someones birthday... and i think i topped myself! my own recipe, too!

I better come up with some slimming recipes though! LOL!

Talking Mocha Cheese Cake!:)

Wow! I love cheese cake! And I love chocolate too but I have got to be careful. Too easy to put weight on and too difficult to take it off at my age! LOL

So every so often I succumb to my urge and buy chocolate, pies, tarts, or cake when normally I look at this stuff at the local grocer....lick my chops...and then forget about it knowing that no matter how hard I try to eat a little bit each day I will devour every sweet in the house until there is none. I would make a great Santa, eh!

Have a great weekend, Holly.

Regards...
Robert

I have a big sweet tooth too, but i found a way to lose weight and have my cake too! It's really very simple and easy, it's just contrary to what most people do.

Just three rules:

1) Drink a lot of water every day. This really cuts appetite. A lot of times we eat when we're really thirsty. "8 glasses" is really the minimum we need... it's about 1/2 a gallon or 2 liters. If you are actively trying to lose weight, try drinking a gallon or 4 liters a day... it's a lot so you might have to work your way up to it, but you will feel better, too.

2) When you want a sweet or junk food... simply make yourself eat healthy food FIRST! When we get those cravings for sweets that are so powerful we're usually genuinely hungry and need healthy food (or as i said in #1, we're thirsty!). If you have cake aftera healthy lunch or dinner that is lean and has lots of non-starchy vegetables then you will find you will only eat a little dessert (if any) but you will enjoy it just as much or more!

3) Eat every four hours. This keeps your blood sugar more even so it prevents overeating and keeps your metabolism burning strong.

Follow the three rules and you'll never go hungry, there will never be foods you can't eat so you'll never feel deprived, and you will lose weight, particularly if you do a just a little bit of exercise and muscle toning. It's like magic. I've told friends about this who've tried just about every diet... one friend was hardly eating at all exercizing like mad (biking 20+ kilometers every day!) and she GAINING weight and frankly... becoming crazy! When i got her to try this she was amazed... she started losing weight the first week and feeling sooooooooooo much better physically and emotionally! No more roller coaster. She's lost weight steadily ever since [i[without[/i] exercising like a mad woman!, and it's been about a year... she's looking great these days. And she can eat cheesecake!
