I know, i know, me too! Just reading other people's suggestions is making me drool. Chicken curry pies, clootie dumpling, chocolate, cheese!... it's all good!

No one has yet mentioned Sticky Toffee Pudding or BBQ spare ribs.
I could do without both of those lol

Thumbs up

Well, since i'm hypoglycemic, it's gotta be lots of meats for me. With the exception of sheep and goats, if it was once a farm animal, or some kind of wild game, i'll eat it. But no organs, please! However, I did have my first ever experience w/ haggis my sophomore year of highschool when i went to a Burns supper. I remember that it tasted almost like the way gutting a deer smelled, but it had a strange appeal to it anyhow.

As far as veggies go, I don't think i could live w/out carrots(starchy, i know but who cares), celery, cucumbers, and atleast a little bit of broccoli.

Prepared foods: Amy's pizza(w/ some kind of meat added on top), spaghetti w/ lots of meat sauce

any kind of fish or seafood in general works too! Even a seaweed salad, which I had once in Boston. Looked like lime green spaghetti.

I know the question was asking for only one food, but that's not exactly an option as a hypoglycemic. Food is atleast one essential thing, and variety is a definite must.

LOL!!! Healthy eating is great, but there's just no substitutes for the GOOD stuff! Isn't it awful that the unhealthy food sometimes tastes the best??? Actually, pizza isn't really all that bad for you, if some of the fattier toppings can be reduced and some more veggies and maybe Canadian bacon can replace them. I found out once, reasonably recently, that Canadian bacon has the least amount of fat of your more common pizza meat toppings, so that's generally what I like to get when I buy it. Convincing my eight-year-old daughter of that, though, is another story.... she's a huge fan of pepperoni pizza.

I have to agree w/ your opinion on healthy eating. I did not know, however, that Canadian bacon had the least amount of fat. What we've been dumping on our frozen pizzas (by Amy's, of course), is browned pan sausage. My dad hunts, so some times, it's been a hybrid of deer and beef, but usually, it's just beef. I personally can't tell that i've gained weight, though the scale says otherwise. Really, you wouldn't know that I weigh, according to our electronic bathroom scale, 140-145 lbs! It might just be senile, though, because i used a friend's analog scale and it was much lower than that.

Anyway . . . enough about my weight o.O For healthy eating, I actually recommend Amy's pizzas. Rather than lard, they put olive oil in their dough, and somehow it comes out aLOT less greasy. Also, I particularly recommend the spinach and tomato w/ feta cheese. Sounds strange, to be sure, but even my carnivore dad likes them. So far as I know, all of their products (pizza and frozen dinners) are vegetarian, but as we've learned around here, that's modifiable:-). Unfortunately, I don't know if they ship to the UK.:-(
