You know what's really good on your oat meal and healthier that all the sweet gunk my family tended to pour on everything is applesauce!

I grew up on oatmeal but to make my brothers and sisters eat it my mom poured brown sugar and maple syrup on it.... disgusting! It took me years to learn that I do like oat meal, it was all the nasty toppings used by my family that I hated!

I put applesauce and milk on it now and I could live on it! Yummy!

Do I have to teach you Scottish people everything? And some others I should add...

The best breakfast for everyone SHOULD be--toast with margerine or butter with slices of tomato or better yet....with canned stewed tomatos cold. It is yummy in the tummy. But not when you are dieting.

I had 1/2 cup cottage cheese and bran cereal mixed together today. Poor ol' fat me!

You don't have to teach me how to make breakfast I have been doing it
for years....lol

Try the toast without margarine or butter and with hot tinned tomatoes
that tastes and is better for you !!

Here a few options that are good with toast !!

Toast spread with Marmalade !!

Toast spread with Strawberry Jam !!

Toast spread with Cream Cheese !!

Scrambled Eggs on Toast !!

Poached Eggs on Toast !!

Cheese on Toast !!
----------------------------------------------------

The best Porridge is made with medium Oatmeal and cooked with salt added...also have a cup of cold milk that you can dunk each spoonful of Porridge into to give it the best taste ever !!
-----------------------------------------------------

During the week I have simple breakfast but do try to make it a Brunch
meal on Sundays at about 11am !!

Then I will have vegetarian style Bacon, Sausages, Egg, Mushrooms and
Tomatoes !!

baked beans on toast??

Okay, I'm going to let my ignorance shine through for a second, but was talking with a UK-born ex who warned me that
brekkers may take a lot of getting used to. During the week
its generally cofee and a bagel to go*if that*but weekends, its the whole schmere, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage and griddlecakes...porridge I can deal with...at least until I find a McDonald's, but can someone tell me about black or white pudding, please??

1 lb Fresh beef suet
8 oz Fine oatmeal
1 ts Salt
2 ts Ground black pepper
2 ts Dried and crumbled mint

White Pudding
Ingredients: 2 1/2 lbs. medium ground pork butt, 2 1/2 lbs. fine ground pork butt, 5 cups plain bread crumbs, 4,eggs lightly beaten, 8 cloves pressed garlic,1 tbsp. salt, 3 tsp thyme, 3 tsp.basil, 3 tsp marjoram, 3 tsp black pepper, 2 cups ice water. Mix thoroughly keeping cold. Stuff into casings making 2 1/2 inch links or pat into small compact pattys. Referigerate over night before freezing. Fry to golden brown.

Okay, the white pudding doesn't sound bad at all...just have to make sure when I'm making reservation inquiries that they don't serve black pudding at brekkers, thanks, Kathy
