Gosh i love coffee. I'm making a pot now... drip.

How do people like their coffee?

I have one friend who's incredibly picky about freshness. She won't even buy whole beans from the store shelf because she doesn't know how long they've been sitting there and she can't STAND it when it's not fresh. I couldn't distinguish that amount of freshness, and though i do prefer grinding, i've been known to reheat coffee in the microwave!

I find i don't care for the kind of coffees Scandinavians often prefer. To me it's just too acidic and bitter and strong. On the other hand i love espresso... which you would think would be similar... i can't figure that out, but my experience of them is very different.

I've tried different brewing methods like French press... i think it's sometimes called something different. But i don't care for it because the coffee is not as hot and i don't care for the dregs.

What do you like?

Talking

i have to be careful about coffee, it tends to make me a bit sick, but i don like it every once in a while.

i had some friends from brazil, and they used to make me very strong cappucino like brazilain coffee, with cream and brown sugar. it was excellent. you dont drink a bug mug, just half of one.
thats probably the best coffee ive ever had.

have you ever had chicory coffee, like they drink in new orleans? ive even had it at cafe du monde in N.O., but its sort of bitter to me.

I've had chickory in coffee with a dash of cinnamon, but i don't think it was new orleans style. The Brazillian coffee you had sounds WONDERFUL!!!

I could never drink coffee with chicory, my grandma used to and its
aroma was awful !!

really? Chicory was commonly added to coffee to make it milder.

You know what got me started on coffee? A free sample of International Coffees "Double Dutch Chocolate" that came in the mail. It was definitely more chocolate than anything else! LOL.

I've never heard it with coconut... how do you add it? As coconut milk or do you use a coconut flavoring?
