Cool

Welcome! to BEAUTIFUL BLaden Lakes & CLarkton, N.C.
James Michael McCallum (45) yrs. son of Robert James McCallum & Frances A. McCallum. My sisters name is Frances
Katrina McCallum (44) yrs. Wilton had three children
Robert James, Daniel Hinton, Marie (McCallum) Rogers. I
don't know how many children Hugh C. McCallum had. Hugh &
his wife are buried at the old Brown Marsh Cementary along
with some other 'McCallums' Wilton's family is at the
CLarkton Presbyterian Cementary. The family settled here at
CLarkton in 1775. Anyone interested in exchanging 'NOTES'
email me at : eaglesdare59@aol.com OR wa4sgc@yahoo.com
I'm very interested not only in Scotland but my family's
heritage from Scotland to the 'New World'. Perhaps one day
I'll get to visit Scotland. I'd love to go to the Isle of
Skye where my family came from. I would love to visit Balmoral 'The Royal Residence' The UK is a very interesting
part of the world! Much history is there.

Michael
PS I have a daughter (19) name Lorena P. McCallum I married
a girl from Chiang Mai, Thailand 'Alayong McCallum'

Hey from NC as well!!! Where are you located in regards to Chapel Hill???

Its good to know that kind of detail of your family history but take heart....the largest Highland Games are held in our state and the Scots are very envious!!!!

Hi iain_mac
Michael here -
My home is Clarkton, N.C. about 150 miles SSE of
you in BLaden County near White Lake (20) miles South
of White Lakes on US Hwy 701 to be exact. When visiting
my relatives in Chapel Hill (Michael Patrick & family)
we usually travel hwy 242 then shortcut over to Benson
go in from there. Well 'darn' I've heard about the games
here in N.C. I think they have some at Red Springs or
maybe at Laurinburg (St. Andrews College) I know their
are some games up on Grandfather Mountain each year. I
would love to visit them. Maybe even meet some of my
'McCallum' relatives who knows ? So, how goes it with the
'McDonald' clan ever heard of 'Flora McDonald College' in
Red Springs ? I think it's perhaps a secondary school of
some type now .. bunch of 'McDonalds' here in BLaden
County. My neighbor is 'McDougald' interesting story about
them. Maybe we'll get into that later on. Email me at:
eaglesdare59@aol.com OR wa4sgc@yahoo.com (yes) I am a HAM
Radio Operator! I know 'Morris Code' very 'well' ! been
one since 1977! later ..........

James (Michael) McCallum
