Talking Anyone from the Keir Clan??

recently found that My Great Great Grandmother was a Keir. Seems an awful lot of info out there but not sure what is relevant!

my mums family are from just outside kirkintilloch and i still stay not that far away.

there are keir's everywhere round here so you might struggle to find whos related and whos not.

there are about 6 families where i live with the same name as me but none of us are related

We usually recommend that foreigners dig into the details of their family history within their country, painstakingly going back generation by generation until the original immigrant's details become known.

From there, immigration records, or passenger lists may give a clue to where the family originated.

Scotlandspeople is the official GRO website.
