You have to start with your own generation. Then work back to the first immigrant to your country. Hopefully you will then be able to trace that first ancestor back to the UK via immigration records, passenger lists etc and that might let you trace any Scottish line you may have.
There is no easy or quick fix for this, I'm afraid! Good luck with your research.

Thank you
Thank you for answering me. I am going to give it my best shot. most of my family ( the ones that I new ) are gone. I do have a distant cousin I am trying to get a hold of LOL if she ever would answer the phones at her house. I am starting my research and I understand that it takes a while, I thought that it was a good start to say Hi to everyone and that if by chance I come across someone on here that know's some of my family that would be great also.
I have never been out of the U.S. but we plain to on our honeymoon. I am 44 years old and have 2 grown children and 1 at home he has one still at home also. I have really never had a sense of belonging because of my family ( divorced parents and never really new my mom) my dad passed when I was in my teens after that I was on my own so to speak. I just want to gve my children the knowledge of where we all came from. Thank you again for your help , Have a great night, |

I am 44 years old a woman, I have been a nurse for over 20 years. I have 3 children and one soon to be step son. I have 2 grandsons. ( they are so great) I am going back to school on line and its crazy.. So anyone that wants to talk and become friends and share our lives, please feel free to contact me and we can trade email addresses and hopefully become good friends. |
