Those impossible Gibsons

Hello I am in desperate search of my ggg Grandfather Henry Gibson born in Heighington, Durham, England in 1781 and who died on the 7th March 1856. He was a shoemaker, which will make it hard to find him I think.

He was married to Mary Sands of Briglington, Yorkshire, England and was born in 1782 and died in Darlington, Durham, 1869.

They had a number of children including

Elizabeth - 1807
Martha - 1809
Edward - 1811
Thomas - 1813
Mary - 1815
Ann - 1817
Margaret - 1819
and
Henry - 1824

I do have someone in Durham hunting him down but there is no sign of his family in Durham and now he and I both suspect the family moved over the Berwick border some time in the past.

Anyone got any ideas?
