Anyone from fife?

Hi,
Im Kathleen KInnamont and in
M looking for anyone who might know anything about the Kinnamont clan?
My family settled here in America in 1642 on the eastern shore in a small state named Maryland. From what I know we are from Fife and my Grandfathers name was William KInnamont. He had 6 sons that all settled here.
I have always had an attachment to Scotland and would love to chat with someone. Please say hello or send and email to me at twinklebinki@gmail.com
Thanks
KAT

I'm from Edinburgh, just across the Firth of Forth from Fife - easily accessible by the Forth Rail Bridge or the road bridge!

Sorry, your name is not one I have come across, but a simple google search seems to show up lots and lots of versions, including Cinnamond.

I have begun to think that my entire family migrated to America. which would make me very sad tp hear. Myself as well as siblings have searched the net in addition a distant cousin in California has been researching our surname for many many years and alot of what i have learned has come from him.

It is funny to have only known a Country ..but still have your heart feel so strong for another. thanks for taking the time to look for me.

1642 is a loooong time ago. You are American, and should be proud of your nationality!

I'am very proud to be an American. But I still feel sad for the state that we have become in the eyes of the world. We are a mixtures of so many cultures that have blended and formed this nation. But one can never forget the loss by which we obtained it. I often wonder what we would have been if we had only remained the original 13 colonies. Yes 1642 is a long time and i"am who I"am
But still I want to see and know about Scotland...lol and no it's not that romance novel crap. It's a real true desire to know. History is my greatest passion and to walk along a battlefield is my high...lol im such a nerd......oh and old battleships as well....I live in western Maryland and I'm just 25 miles from 2major battlefields of our Civil War,Gettysburg & Antietam........see I'm proud to be American.

Just tired of being labeled and hated for being one.

What about you? Tell me about you if you wish.

I don't think many hate individual Americans - just the policies of your government in many arenas! I certainly don't.

I'm also a great lover of history - preferably not war, though.
