Just found your posting. The dates for Edinburgh Tattoo 2012 are 3rd-24th August 2012. Confirmed by Tattoo Office.

This company are taking advance bookings, you can ring or email them or their website address is here too. They do complete packages and tours of Scotland etc. I know they had dealings with some of the clan gatherings too.

Robert and Ellen are my ggg grandparents. Robert was a professional soldier with the British Army around the time of one of the Irish uprisings. He met Ellen in Dublin and she travelled with him wherever he was sent including Kent England. He signed up later and joined the 46th South Devonshire Regiment on the Isle of Mann. From there he went to Sydney Cove. All records of the wedding at St Micheals Dublin were destroyed in a fire around 1842. I have extensive info about the family etc.
