Hello Mary,

I found this. Take a look and see what you think

What's your name?
Carroll J. Brantley

Ever been to Scotland?
No, and I haven't even seen "Braveheart".

Sharon is a member of the McBean Clan, and we have attended several Scottish Games and "Gatherings of the Clans" at Stone Mountain Park. Got any Gaelic blood in ye? I am descended from a runaway Scottish youth, Maximillian Wildes, who found his way to Waycross, GA. Circa 1800, and settled on a farmstead in the edge of the Okefenokee Swamp. He and his family and visiting relatives, but for 3 boys who escaped, were massacred (1832) by the Seminole Indians, an event which lead to the final military action to drive the Seminoles from the Swamp to Florida. The dead were placed in a wagon body and buried in a common grave. It is marked, and visitors are allowed even though it is on private land. My grandmother was of Wales descent.

Where do you live?
I live outside Westminster, SC on beautiful Lake Hartwell.

What's your DOB?
August 18, 1936.

Where are you a native of?
I was born in South Georgia, grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, schooled at U of F, Gainesville, Florida and lived variously in Tampa, Orlando, Macon, and Stone Mountain before retiring and moving here.

I don't think it would be too hard to find this person.

Kathleen

Be aware that the previous post to yours was almost 12 years ago.
