To emphasise the point that the often quoted Electric Scotland site is no more an authority on the issue of any Clan's septs that the Court of the Lord Lyon is .
If you had read this thread properly , in its entirety , you would have noted that I had twice stated that the only authority of a particular Clan's septs is the Clan itself .
That is why I said that Elecrtic Scotland is not a clan , nor is the office of the Lord Lyon .

Actually the only authority in regard to a particular clan's "septs" is the clan's chief. The clan itself has no authority as such to make those sort of determinations; it is up to the clan's chief to decide those matters.

Now you claim that a clan chief is not a part of the clan that he is chief of .
And that his advisers are not part of their own clan either ?
How do you come to that conclusion .
