Unhappy Help with a Clan Gordon Sept.

Hi i am a first time poster on this forum, i joined because i need some help.
I am tracing my family, My family originally come from Scotland, i have found they are a Sept of the Clan Gordon but that is as far as i can get, we must have been a minor Sept but i would love to find out more.
Does anyone know where i should start to look, i have tried the Clan Gordon web site without any luck.
Any advice or guidence would be greatly appreciated.

Hello
You could try this site Clan: Gordon or try Rampant Scotland Directory - both have lots of info. However, they admit they accept copy as is, ie they don't check it, so make sure that you verify any info from at least two other sources - especially if you are going to consider buying something expensive, like a kilt, for example!

Good luck with your research.

Colin ,
Try the House of Gordon USA website
The Gordons , Highland clan and Lowland family combined , go by that .
There is , or was , a House of Gordon Scotland website , but the link is out of action .
Better to consult the people themselves eh .
