Hey there! I'm new to this place so pardon me if this is in the wrong area. My family has always been told we're French/Canadian. However, I've just seen some information that would point to my family being Scottish. I'm curious if there are any Adairs in Scotland. thanks!

Ben

Welcome Ben! Actually in my Scottish Clan & Family Encyclopedia there is indeed "Adair," although not belonging to any particular clan. The crest is a man's head couped and bloody. (Hey, I don't write it, just type it) The motto is "Loyal au mort" (Loyal unto death.)
There are some Galloway Adairs who went to Ulster and settled mainly in County Antrim. One James Adair, who died around 1783, was an American pioneer and wrote one of the earliest histories of the American Indians. The principal families recorded in the registers at the Lyon Court are those of Kinhilt and Genoch. Hope that helps some.
