thank everyone for the info it has been very helpful i was not sure how my request for it would be recieved as i have read other threads on here and there looks to be some hostility between scotland born scots and american scots lol but everyone here has been very nice and helpful i am glad to see that there are others who are trying to find info aswell so i dont feel out of place

There is absolutely no hostility between us natives and those of Scots ancestry around the world. It's only when those foreigners call themselves 'Scots' that we have problems!

lol i like that. i have scottish decent but being born in the us i am american in every way excepte the rude stuff you hear about and I am really looking forward to our trip over there. I am curious though my mother told me of a castle that belongs to the grants in a place called granttown-on-spey and was wondering if its true and if anyone has heard of it any help would be great
