Hello CelticJack,
Willy was kind enough to point me in your direction. I stumbled across this board while searching for relatives in the Glasgow area. I hope to be traveling over from the states in August this year. My grandfather, James Lindsay was born in Glasgow around 1908. He had one brother Andrew and two sisters Jean and Margaret. My great-grandmother Jane, nee McLaughlin, always went back to Scotland to have her children. I had to laugh about the Swan. It does look a bit mean. But then again, the Lindsay's weren't a bunch to trifle with back then. My mum says thats where I get my temper from!! Have a great day everyone!! Terry |

It's a good group, Terry...and the tartan is particularly stylish and colourful! The Northeastern coastal area of auld Scotia--where my father was born and where I lived for many years--is loaded with Lindsays and their "septs." Difficult to throw a rock without hitting one, in fact (which countless people have done--trying to hit one!)
