Thomas, Small

Just wondering if either of the surnames Thomas and Small could have Scottish origins.

I believe that Thomas as a surname is Welsh in origin, but the name itself has biblical origins. Small seems to have English origins - although I am not sure if that is a reference to the English language or people!
