Question

I have been researching my family name for quite some time now but not able to get much info on the MOODIE's of Scotland. I believe my ancient ancestor to be Ingram MOODIE who was captured at the Battle of Dunbar in Sept. 1650 and sent to Boston, MA, USA as an indentured servant to work in the Saugus Ironworks (now in Lynn, Essex Co., MA).
He was born around c1619 in Scotland...Where in Scotland I don't know.
Perhaps Forfarshire?? That's about all I have to go on.
Is anyone here doing any research on their ancient MOODIE ancestors?
Thanks for any help.
