Question

I'm planning a trip to Scotland and interested in chatting with kinfolk via e-mail. My name is Gene McIntosh (GeneMcIntosh@hotmail.com) and I have traced my great-grandfather's roots back to Scotland - He was born in Nairn and attended medical school in Elgin. I would love to hear from McIntosh families in Glascow area (that's the area I plan to stay in on my visit). Also would like to hear from McIntoshs in Inverness area since my grand father came from that area.

Welcome to Scotlanddotcom!

I'm not a MacIntosh, but you could probably find out info re your GGF family via the GRO office in Edinburgh, if you have his birthdate etc....

As far as I am aware, Elgin does not have a University, perhaps you need to check on your information again. Could he have been at Uni in Glasgow or St Andrews or Edinburgh or Aberdeen? That might give you another angle to chase up!

BTW - it's GlasGow (with a 'g') not a 'C'!!!
