Hi
I have Alexander in Rosskeen (1841 census). The oldest child is always called
John after 1840s in my line.

Interesting, the eldest son in my Munro line for 5 generations was Alexander with John inbetween:

4th great grandfather: Alexander
3rd great grandfather: John
2nd great grandfather: Alexander
1st great grandfather: John
