Smile McBlain Family

Hi
My maiden name is McBlain. My family are Northern Irish/Scottish. i have a lot of McBlains in my database and I have been researching my tree for quite a number of years. I just collect all McBlains because we are all related in some way even if it is a distant connection but it is like a huge jigsaw, the pieces are difficult to put together. If you would like to share your information, I would be happy to share mine with you.

Kind regards

McBlains in Canada

My family connection is at William Anderson and Elizabeth McBlain, both who immigrated to Canada (Ontario) from Ayrshire, Scotland. I have collected a lot of information from Ancestry.ca but I am interested in a connection with others in this McBlain line.

Elizabeth McBlain

My great grandfather Quinten McBlain was a brother of Elizabeth McBlain, wife of William Anderson. I have some information on the Anderson descendants and a picture of the Anderson stone on their cemetery plot. I would like more information on William and Elizabeth.
My e-mail address should be shown on the membership list.

My ancestors McBlain/McBlane came to the US and Canada in the 1800's and have retained the original spelling through many generations.

'Dr James' is not the sharpest knife in the drawer - his outrageous statements on various topics have been a source of upset to many on various of the other nation websites owned by the US owners of Scotland.com

I used to have a g/f many years ago whose surname was either spelled Blain or Blane (I forgot which). She lived with her family in Melrose, though they had moved from Dumfries, where the family really belonged.

Maybe for you there's a distant family/name connection to Dumfries area ?
