I just wanted to thank you for the information. It is helpful. I'm still working on the exact connection. I have a history of the Delaware Valley (where my family settled) and it lists two Ballantine's who came across from Scotland. One from Roxburgshire (the one supposed to be related to James and John Ballantyne Publishers), and one from Peebles who was a shepherd (Robert Ballantine). It's time for me to get out the maps of Scotland.
