As someone posted earlier, rich and influential people's family trees are very well documented. In Scotland/Britain no family trees are better documented than those of royalty.
Does anyone seriously think the direct descendants of the most famous King in Scottish history would not all be minutely documented? All you direct descendants out there... how come you don't have the family tree at your fingertips? |

Well I can tell you, that all I know is what my grandma tells me. She loves that geneology stuff, and she's got some huge tree set up at her house with a binder for each branch of family's history or something. I'll check it out one of these days.
My family came over here (United States) in the 1700s or something so I realize I'm not a pure bred Scot. But according to my grandma, the entire history of our family has a whole bunch of Scottish in it and we are direct descendents of Robert the Bruce. I don't expect to be entitled to land or riches back in the mother land, I just think it's kind of cool to know. That is, assuming she's correct and not completely batty. |
