"All that and southern too!! Don't forget... the grass is always greener on the other side of the ocean. You're are just too familiar with southern things right now to be able to appreciate fully what you have and who you are because of your southern history. But trust me... it has as many treasures in it as any other culture. And I'm sure your southern accent would melt Scottish guys if they heard it!"
Aw, I know you're right... what English friends tell me they like about my South is how lush it is, how full of trees and mild temps it is compared to where they're from. And I see the difference, its true that the South is a beautiful place to live. And honestly, they also say that there is a lot more in the way of job opportunities here sometimes too; we have Irish friends who came here to work awhile and ended up staying for years.
And my accent? I ain't got no accent, darlin'...
LOL!!!
I swear, when I've been in Ireland or England, people actually ask questions just to hear me talk. I didn't realize it at first, but the grins on their faces when I wasn't being funny at all finally gave away their motives. But they knew I was getting just as big a kick, hearing them talk too!
What fun.
