I would also like to state that, if you are looking in Black "Surnames of Scotland" I would quit. He seems to "miss" a lot of information when he uses the exact same source. For example, My surname is Mair, in Black's it says that we where the "Mayor" of a city, or the like their of. But if you look in Nisbets book, a book that has been quoted by black, it say, about Mair, "...Mair of the old Delamare..." This is one of the many, many mistakes that Black has made. Just my soapbox though.
