I think that you should know that in the Bruce family there was more then one Robert Bruce , At the time of the Frist Robert the last name was spelled Brus and he came from Normandy France, To Yorkshire, then the family was given titles and lands in England and Scotland.. Robert Bruce the King of Scotland Was Really the 7th Bruce to Carry the Name of Robert.. The Frist Robert Brus Was The Lord Of Cleveland, and The 1st. Lord Of Annadale.. Hope this helps
