Dut, the site was connected to General Wade's road building programme to pacify the highlands (think he made himself a few bob on the side) or that of his sucessor General Caulfield, a wee lane with four compartments each side and two at the top with a further building behind. Very remote spot, metal detectors are banned each side of the military road and the village website or estate haven't publicised the site for this reason. Found a bar of pig iron once and a few clay pipes. wullie m
