My cats used to cause trouble eg they'd spot the pill wrapped in the food and spit it out and refused forced feeding etc.
But it all got resolved one day.
I lifted one cat's tail and told them I could give them their pills in the other end if they preferred.
They seemed to understand and became less troublesome after that.
