When I was growing up in West Virginia my mother used to make a meat pie out of venison. It was exceptional. I don't know where her recipe came from. I can remember her soaking a roast for a couple of days in onions, vinegar, garlic, etc...cooking it and shreading the meat...adding spices and putting it into large pie shells and cooking it again.
