I doubt Americans feel that way at all. At least I've never met people like that, not saying there might not be someone in United States who feels that way. I think we are very curious about religions, however.
Then you have our missionary churches - these do send missionaries to different places in the world to spread 'the word of God.'
We certainly have our fair share of religious fanatics too.
It seemed like no one was going to church 10 years ago, but that has changed dramatically. Am not sure why. It's one of the things I'm curious about.
