If you want to subscribe to cable TV etc. you can see wide coverage of every type of sport but on ordinary TV the Sports coverage is pretty poor. You get football and rugby-mostly union but occasionally rugby league- but you won't even see cricket anymore on BBC or Channel 4. An example of how poor the coverage is was the recent track cycling world championships which were held in the UK- one of the few sports that Britain currently dominates- and all you got was an hour or so on BBC2 in the evening. If you're seriously into sport you need to be prepared to subscribe to cable or Setanta etc.
