Pol, ( LOL ) accepted for the time being although I'm sure I can tie myself to Scotland better than some people - a quarter scottish from my grandfather ( the sangster born in Edinburgh castle which Im still having trouble tracing his father to a regiment ) and my other quarter is scottish grandparents from the Fletcher clan ( not sure if Dunan's or Saltoun's ) but from what I know the Fletcher's tied themselves to most clans.

Can your friend Maher help with the Sangster dilemma ? Still need to know what tartan is appropriate to wear - military from great grandfathers roots or aberdeen - I know it doesnt really matter to most people but just wanted to wear something that meant something. I have tried to get hold of the Fletcher Tartan - been measured for one at the Caledonain Club in London, only to find it is a rare tartan and cant be acquired that easily. Cheers
