How can anyone be descended from Robert the Bruce as one of his supposed descendants made the following claim:

If there are no direct desendants then there can't be any descendants! Its simple logic!

However, there probably are descendants as after all Bruce's line continued through his daughter's marriage to Walter Stewart; Robert also had other children: David (who had no children of his own), John, Matilda and Margaret - all it needs is for one of them to have had children for the line from Robert to continue!

I have to ask though - do you have any actual proof that your g-g-grandfather was descended from Robert the Bruce? After all, records going back all the way to the 1300s will be hard to find! To be honest, I doubt you, like the many before you that make the same claim, actually do have that proof!

Of course, that doesn't alter the fact that you just might be descended from the great man - as am I of course
