We do have a lot of really HUGE commercial greenhouses here in Ohio, though i think they produce mostly seedlings for nursury markets so private gardeners can get an early start. By HUGE i mean, if you can imagine field upon field next to eachother all covered with long clear buildings, taking you a bit to pass on the road... there you have it. I tried to find a pic to link here, but unfortunately i'm not finding one.
I think here, too, we don't start getting much local produce until the end of June, but i'll keep a lookout and see if i can learn more.
