I couldn't help but laugh at this suggestion. This is twaddle. Utter twaddle. I have lived and travelled about the north of england all of my life and have never even heard of anyone who does not consider themselves english. The number of people who represent our footie or cricket team at a national level who come from the north just proves that.
You're just embarrassing yourself to be honest. Whilst in Cornwall I saw their flag just about everywhere but I did not get the impression that the country was just about bursting to get out of england. There is a small nationalism movement there but cornwall relies largely upon the rest of the country to keep going and would be mad to leave us.
