Roslin Chapel
Roslin Chapel or to be correct, the Collegiate Church of St. Matthew. Was never completed. It was also partially destroyed by General Monk in the Civil War in Britain.
The Templars had monestaries in England and Scotland. It is not known whether Roslin was one of them, as there is nothing on file to say that it was. The original chapel was build in 1446, by the son of Sir Henry Sinclair(Earl of Orkney), Sir William Sinclair. The garbage about there being a vault containing the Holy Grail and Templar gold brought away from France, under some part of the present building is so much stuff! There has been not only the Da Vinci Code but other material about the mystery of the chapel. At present it is a working church of the COS (Church of Scotland) - Anglican Church or Episcopal Church .
If you want to go see it, there is bus service from the central bus station in Edinburgh. There is also the ruins of Roslin Castle.
The Chapel is presently being restored. The only graves are those of the present owners. The original Sinclair graves are unmarked.
